Los Gatos merged its ADU review into a single application form and one plan review across the Planning and Building Divisions, rather than two separate submittals.
Pre-approved ADU plans. Los Gatos does not publish a pre-approved ADU plan gallery that we could find. Ask the Town of Los Gatos Building Division directly before you assume there is nothing to build from, because these programs are being added city by city. Since AB 1332 took effect on January 1, 2025, California cities have had to run a pre-approved ADU plan program and post the approved plans publicly. Where a usable plan exists it can take real time and design cost out of a project, because the design has already been reviewed and only the site-specific work is left.
